When and where was the IQOS ILUMA launch in Japan?

 

The IQOS ILUMA launch took place in Japan amidst a lot of excitement—generating intrigue and was received with a lot of interest. On launch day, media got the exclusive—during an afternoon press conference. Thereafter, our consumers were revealed our latest innovation, digitally on the IQOS Japan website. This was the very first digital launch of our product. In addition to the boutiques being completely revamped with the new IQOS architecture and IQOS ILUMA content, Japan also had an exciting new initiative with the launch of a Pop-Up venue in the heart of Tokyo—located at the world famous Shibuya crossing. It generated a lot of excitement amongst the IQOS fans, giving them a  memorable IQOS ILUMA experience and attracted new legal age smokers, looking for a better alternative to cigarettes, to come and peek into the exciting new world of IQOS ILUMA.

The IQOS ILUMA’s new SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM^TM heats the tobacco from within the TEREA tobacco sticks - designed specifically for IQOS ILUMA - in an innovative and cleaner way. The heart of the new bladeless SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM^TM is an innovative metal heating element placed inside the stick and coated with stainless steel for for seamless heating of tobacco.

Do not ingest or disassemble TEREA^TM sticks. This product contains a sharp metal part which can cause serious injury if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children.
